The Opus Group is Growing!

Chris Westerman and Rob Wilkes joined The Opus Group of Virginia as equity partners in June of 2023. Along with Forrest Williams, they will lead the six-person firm based in Virginia Beach, VA.

Westerman has over 18 years of experience. He is a second-generation advisor, following in his father’s footsteps. A Certified Financial Planner and graduate of the University of Florida, Westerman will focus on the firm’s investment strategy and financial planning capabilities.

Wilkes brings 10 years of experience in the financial industry. A graduate of Lynn University, he was previously a Division I college basketball coach and his father is in the College Basketball Hall of Fame as the long-time coach at Stetson University. Rob will focus on individual wealth management and the firm’s corporate retirement plan business as well as championing the firm’s marketing efforts.

Williams remains the firm’s Managing Partner overseeing day-to-day operations as well as focusing on individual wealth management and corporate retirement plans.

The Opus Group manages and services over $400M of combined advisory and brokerage assets (as of July 2025) and have more than 60 years of combined wealth management experience.
